New research suggests: exercise can be nearly as effective as medication in controlling glucose levels in diabetics.
Researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center cardiologists say:
Diabetics who exercise can reduce their waist size and body fat, and, at the same time, lower blood glucose; even if they don’t see cardiovascular benefits.
It doesn’t matter what type of exercise. The benefits were seen in people who performed aerobics, weight training, or a combination of both.
