I’m a big fan of non-fiction writing and other information products published in book format. I recently discovered a book entitled: How to Blog a Book: Write, Publish, and Promote Your Work One Post at a Time by Nina Amir. Because I am in the process of writing my own manuscript, and have a part of my mind directed towards publishing it, the title caught my eye.
I really could have done with this book when I started on-line publishing back in 2006; part of the book gives a powerful insight into the world of blogging: how to set up a blog; how to write posts; and, how to monetize your blog — extremely useful information for someone starting out.
In addition to the valuable information she gives about blogging in general, the author sets out to teach, step by step, how to use your blog as a platform to showcase your book — one post at a time. It’s an interesting concept and certainly an alternative method to the traditional routes to publishing; and, I think it’s appealing to people who have yet to publish their first book.
All in all, the book is a useful tool; an inspiring and empowering publication, written in a warm and friendly style. It’s a book I can highly recommend and I give it 5 stars.
